With this project Jilly worked with the award-winning manufacturer of bespoke orangeries – David Salisbury. Designed by Jilly, the DS orangery was to replace the existing old timber framed conservatory with a new orangery and lobby. Jilly thoughtfully designed the orangery with mindful and subtle detailing, to enhance the beauty of The Old Rectory, preserving the significance of the heritage asset.

Incorporating more than one roof lantern in a orangery requires careful thought and consideration. Each roof lantern is used to independently illuminate and identify spaces and their use. The wide French doors on the front elevation and the new hard landscaping, together, provide an ideal link between the gardens and entertaining area to the side.

The orangery combines traditional design features and tall elegant elevations with the finest quality, modern building specifications, to allow year round enjoyment.
